Litigation Adjuster

Anchor Insurance is a fast growing insurance company seeking a Litigation Adjuster to handle Florida litigated property claims. The Litigation Adjuster will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing claim files, interacting and managing outside counsel, and efficiently resolving litigated first party property claims.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review and analyze claim files and develop case strategy with outside counsel and Litigation Supervisor
  • Communicate with independent adjusters, desk adjusters, attorneys and other experts to gather and evaluate information on litigated claims
  • Negotiate settlements with the insured and/or their representatives
  • Ensure litigation deadlines are met by closely monitoring case status and providing routine status reports to Litigation Supervisor and management
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as needed
  • Review and process invoices and issue settlement checks as needed
  • Adjust reserves or provide reserve recommendations to ensure that reserves are consistent with company practices and procedures
  • Manage workload and provide management with reports as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 year’s litigation or similar claims experience
  • Experience in the legal field preferred
  • Experience in Florida insurance laws and claims
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must have communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Some degrees of creativity and latitude is a plus
  • Must possess a Florida 6-20 Insurance License
  • Working knowledge of Caseglide a plus
  • Some travel may be necessary
